Adam is communications professional based in Washington, D.C. Originally from Rochester, NY. he most recently supported the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy as a speechwriter, social media and executive communications strategist, earned media consultant, and photographer. Over the course of his tenure, he gained an extensive familiarity for clean energy communications, the Biden-Harris Administration's clean energy, energy justice, and climate action goals, as well as the mechanisms through which the administration is delivering on those objectives.
Before joining DOE, Adam worked at Edelman Global Advisory (née Edelman International Public Affairs) where, among other roles, he completed a year-long embed position with Assembly Media, Inc., where he helped manage corporate communications for Xbox. This involved numerous accessibility and social equity projects, crisis and issues-management tasks, media outreach on sensitive topics like data privacy, gaming abuse, harassment and mental health, environmental sustainability and the supervision of reactive media timed to major corporate events, like the launch of Microsoft's next-generation Xbox Series X|S consoles and its $7.5b acquisition of ZeniMax Media.
Prior to and following his role with Xbox, Adam worked with multiple clients in sensitive industries including consumer tech and software, mobile gaming, natural resource extraction and data privacy. He helped drive projects centered around issues management, public affairs, media landscape assessments, and stakeholder identification and outreach for clients working on regulatory issues surrounding emerging technologies. |
Adam earned his M.S. in public relations at the Newhouse school at Syracuse University, after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration and sociology from The State University of New York at Geneseo.
Away from his desk, Adam is an avid landscape, street and portrait photographer, as well as a soccer referee in the Virginia and DC area. He is also an ardent (and often disappointed) supporter of Manchester United, and welcomes opportunities to commiserate.
